Know Your Bible 08-10-2017

One of the things I love about living in LaGrange, GA is the opportunity to be a frequent panelist on the "Know Your Bible" TV program. "Know Your Bible" is a work of the Cusetta Road Church of Christ in Columbus, GA. It is a question and answer format and was the model for my own "Bible Q-n-A." I watched "Know Your Bible" with my grandfather on Sunday mornings when I was young. So when I started doing my own program it was naturally influenced by "Know Your Bible." Since I started appearing … [Read more...]

Baptism for the Remission of Sins

Baptism has been a problematic doctrine for centuries. Everything from changes in the mode to changes of the purpose of baptism has become part of Catholic and Denominational doctrine. Sprinkling, pouring, immersion as a symbol, have been contentious issues for a very, very long time. It’s not because the Bible is unclear about the mode and purpose of baptism. Is it your view that there is no Scriptural prohibition to the use of mechanical … [Read more...]

How NOT to do a Facebook Live Stream!

I've been experimenting with Facebook Live as a way to do a live online Bible Q-n-A broadcast. So, Wednesday night I decided to do a Bible Q-n-A question for the invitation and stream it live on Facebook. When it came time to do the invitation and tried to lay my tablet at the top of the podium angled at me. It immediately slid to the bottom and pointed straight up my nose! So, while the question got answered, the view is not quite what I was hoping for. I am looking into the Mevo camera setup … [Read more...]
