Bible Review: NKJV Word Study Bible

I received a digital version of this Bible, so this review will not include any details about the physical binding of the Bible. The Nelson NKJV Word Study Bible includes very brief word studies of 1,700 key words throughout the Old and New Testament of the New King James text. The introduction says that there is at least one word study per chapter of the Bible with more in most chapters. There are 929 chapters in the Bible, so if you divide the 1,700 word studies evenly – which they do not … [Read more...]

Christ’s 40 Commandments by Renee Valverde Wagenblatt

"Christ's 40 Commandments" is a topical listing from the teachings of Jesus in the four Gospels. The bulk of the book is taken up with this third presentation. There is also a listing of the "Commandments" with … [Read more...]

Is The Bible For Everyone?

Jesus said, in what we call the great invitation, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matt. 11:28-30). While there are many lessons we can draw from that great text, the one most relevant to the question, “Is the Bible for everyone?,” is that Jesus said “all” could come to Him, “all” could … [Read more...]

So, if you're following the reading plan, you'll hear a lesson from what you've read the previous week every Sunday evening. [  ] January 01, 2013 Gen … [Read more...]

Hebrews 6:13-20 is the concluding remarks to the exhortation toward maturity begun at the end of Hebrews 5. In this passage the Hebrews encouraged his audience to remain faithful to the gospel of Christ knowing that God will always follow through with his promises.
