What’s the difference between “Denomination” and “Non-Denominational”? What are you?

There are many false beliefs where is the true church ? Thank you for the GREAT question! It has become somewhat "trendy" for churches to claim that they are "non-denominational." This is part of the Community Church trend that started several years ago. However, most of those so-called Community Churches are simply denominations that have dropped the denominational name. They are still teaching and practicing, pretty much, the same things they did before they dropped the denominational … [Read more...]

Stewarts Creek Gospel Meeting – Bible Q-n-A FAQs

For anyone who has been using the Internet and visiting websites for very long the term FAQs will be familiar. It stands for "Frequently Asked Questions." For those who conduct Bible studies and/or discuss the Bible with others, there are several "Frequently Asked Questions." When I was doing live radio and live TV programs about the Bible I regularly received the same "Frequently Asked Questions" on the program that would get asked in private studies. This series of lessons is in direct … [Read more...]

The Baptist Use Of Acts 15:11

I just got through speaking with a baptist preacher at my door. He is trying to tell me Acts 2:38 is a different dispensation and that I need to go with Acts 15:11. Can you help me out? I would contact a local preacher, however, I currently don't have one. You have helped my husband and myself before, so I came inside to my bible and preacher Norm:) Mindy, I'm not sure what his point is exactly, but it probably has to do with the false idea that there was one system for Jewish converts and … [Read more...]

Whoever Believes In Him

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Every time I have heard a denominational preacher teach the false doctrine of "faith only" salvation, they always quote John 3:16 as their proof text. Even though the verse doesn't say, "whoever [only] believes in Him," that is how they use it. Not only do they insert a "faith only" definition where the verse doesn't say it, they are also … [Read more...]

Salvation in the Church of Christ

The Following Question Comes From Zach K. I had a few questions I would like you to check out. I've been watching your videos and I was listening about when you were talking about grace and works and that there are works of faith and works of merit. And, correct me if I am wrong, but the works of faith were those God commanded for salvation (Hear the gospel, Believe the Gospel, Repent, Confess, Be baptized...ect). I also understand from your videos that baptism, for it to be valid, must … [Read more...]

Responding To SDA Comments

This is a followup to the video, "The SDA (Seventh Day Adventist) Church Is Not The True Church," which I posted to YouTube some time ago. I respond further to the caller's attempt to use Isa. 66:23 as authority for Sabbath keeping in the New Testament church and also reply to some of the comments posted to that video. http://vimeo.com/30115139 Here is the original clip from the Bible Q-n-A TV program: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCPZ1xs5K34 Please feel free to carry on the … [Read more...]

What’s Wrong With Denominational Baptism

This is one of my first playlists posted on YouTube from the Bible Q-n-A TV program. The question, "What's wrong with denominational baptism?" addresses a common objection to the biblical necessity of baptism. Many, when they learn of the necessity to be baptized, will say, "I have been baptized" - referring to their denominational baptism. Watch the video to learn why an appeal to a denominational baptism can't meet the biblical plan of salvation. … [Read more...]

What does "born of water and the Spirit" mean?

This question comes from John 3:5 and is asked in response to those who twist this passage to be in harmony with man-made false doctrine. Does this passage teach the necessity of water baptism or is "born of water" talking about a physical birth? We answer that question in this Bible Q-n-A video. … [Read more...]
