Baptism for the Remission of Sins

Baptism has been a problematic doctrine for centuries. Everything from changes in the mode to changes of the purpose of baptism has become part of Catholic and Denominational doctrine. Sprinkling, pouring, immersion as a symbol, have been contentious issues for a very, very long time. It’s not because the Bible is unclear about the mode and purpose of baptism. It is one of the clearest teachings of the Bible. The problems people have on the doctrine of baptism comes from their preconceived … [Read more...]

How NOT to do a Facebook Live Stream!

I've been experimenting with Facebook Live as a way to do a live online Bible Q-n-A broadcast. So, Wednesday night I decided to do a Bible Q-n-A question for the invitation and stream it live on Facebook. When it came time to do the invitation and tried to lay my tablet at the top of the podium angled at me. It immediately slid to the bottom and pointed straight up my nose! So, while the question got answered, the view is not quite what I was hoping for. I am looking into the Mevo camera setup … [Read more...]

The Kingdom Of God Is Within You

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20–21, NKJV) This question of the Pharisees continues being asked to this very day by those who look for an earthly Kingdom that will come with great and tumultuous world events. The Pharisees believed that the Messiah would come as a … [Read more...]

Stewarts Creek Gospel Meeting – Bible Q-n-A FAQs

For anyone who has been using the Internet and visiting websites for very long the term FAQs will be familiar. It stands for "Frequently Asked Questions." For those who conduct Bible studies and/or discuss the Bible with others, there are several "Frequently Asked Questions." When I was doing live radio and live TV programs about the Bible I regularly received the same "Frequently Asked Questions" on the program that would get asked in private studies. This series of lessons is in direct … [Read more...]

Atonement of sins of mankind?

Christians believe that Jesus gave his life for the atonement of the sins of mankind. a) Does this mean that by his death, he atoned the sins of all people born before his time only or even of people who were born after his time? b) Does the death of Jesus on the cross mean that the sins of all Christians would be forgiven, even if they continue to sin and disobey God’s commandments? c) Is there any accountability for Christians for their personal actions (good or bad) on the Day of Judgment, … [Read more...]

Whoever Believes In Him

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Every time I have heard a denominational preacher teach the false doctrine of "faith only" salvation, they always quote John 3:16 as their proof text. Even though the verse doesn't say, "whoever [only] believes in Him," that is how they use it. Not only do they insert a "faith only" definition where the verse doesn't say it, they are also … [Read more...]
