• Using the Lord’s name in vain (Ex. 20:7; Phil. 2:9-11).
• Lying (Prov. 6:16-19).
• Deceiving (Rom. 16:18).
• Filthy language (Eph. 5:4).
• Speaking evil (Jude 8; Matt. 5:21-22).
• Reviling (1 Cor. 6:9-11; 1 Pet. 2:21-23).

“By Your Words” Justified

• Speaking about the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3; 8:12).
• Speaking to edify (Acts 20:32; Eph. 4:29).
• Gracious words (Eccl. 10:12; Col. 4:5-6).
• Comforting words (1 Thess. 4:18).
